The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has removed a nationwide ground stop that had been affecting United Airlines flights. United Airlines temporarily halted all its flights across the country due to an “equipment outage,” as announced by both the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday morning.
According to the latest data from the FlightAware tracking site, seven flights were canceled nationwide, and 85 others were delayed. Flights that were already in the air continued to their destinations without interruption.
Around 1:50 p.m. Eastern Time, the FAA issued a statement on X, announcing that the ground stop for United Airlines flights in the United States and Canada had been lifted.
Subsequently, United Airlines released another statement, stating, “We have identified a solution to the technical issue, and flight operations have resumed. We are actively assisting affected customers in reaching their destinations as swiftly as possible.”
