Tokyo DisneySea’s new Fantasy Springs theme area, inspired by beloved Disney films like “Frozen,” “Peter Pan,” and “Tangled,” was unveiled to the media on Tuesday, 100 days ahead of its official opening. The section, encompassing approximately 140,000 square meters, will feature four enchanting rides and is expected to further elevate the allure of Tokyo Disney Resort.
“We believe that the addition of this new area will truly set Tokyo Disney Resort apart as a world-class destination,” remarked Yumiko Takano, CEO of Oriental Land, the resort’s operator.
Scheduled to open its doors on June 6, Fantasy Springs will include attractions like Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land. Visitors will also have the opportunity to lodge at the resort’s sixth Disney hotel, the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, conveniently located within the area.
The highlight of the unveiling was a one-twentyfifth scale model showcasing iconic elements from the films, such as the majestic castle from “Frozen” and Elsa’s stunning ice palace.
Fantasy Springs commenced in May 2019, with Oriental Land committing a total investment of ¥320 billion ($2.13 billion) to the project. The addition of this enchanting new area is set to further enhance the magical experience for visitors to Tokyo Disney Resort.
