Genesis, a luxury brand under the Hyundai Motor Group, recently unveiled two striking concept vehicles, showcasing the brand’s innovative approach to design and performance. The event, held at Genesis House New York, introduced the Neolun and GV60 Magma, which offer a glimpse into the future of luxury automotive design.
The Neolun Concept, inspired by Korea’s iconic moon-shaped porcelain jars, embodies timeless design and meticulous craftsmanship. Its exterior features clean, refined lines, following a principle of reductive design to create a sleek appearance. The distinctive coach doors without B-pillars provide convenient access and enhance the interior’s spaciousness, reflecting a modern reinterpretation of Korea’s traditional hospitality culture.
The interior of the Neolun Concept draws inspiration from Korea’s ondol heating system, ensuring efficient heating through innovative heating films applied to various surfaces within the cabin. The front-row seats’ swiveling function adds to the vehicle’s interior hospitality, enhancing comfort for passengers.
The GV60 Magma Concept, part of Genesis’ high-performance Magma program, represents the brand’s expansion into high-performance vehicles. Developed on the basis of the GV60 electric vehicle, the GV60 Magma features improved battery and motor technology. With a widened and lowered stance, the GV60 Magma offers enhanced stability and aerodynamics, promising a dynamic driving experience.
Genesis’ Magma program aims to develop high-performance Magma models for each vehicle in its existing portfolio, prioritizing the driving experience and comfort over raw speed. This approach reflects Genesis’ commitment to providing luxury car customers with trust and comfort, focusing on delivering a joyous driving experience.
Both the Neolun and GV60 Magma concepts, along with other vehicles in the Magma program, will be showcased at the New York International Auto Show. This display highlights Genesis’ dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and performance in the luxury automotive sector, promising exciting developments for the future of the brand.
