Six Flags is set to make waves in Saudi Arabia, officially taking the reins at two major theme parks in Qiddiya, scheduled to open later this year. Qiddiya Investment Company has confirmed a management agreement with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, North America’s leading regional amusement-resort operator, to oversee the highly anticipated Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia Water Theme Park.
With this agreement, Six Flags will bring its signature expertise in park management, ensuring world-class experiences for visitors. Six Flags Qiddiya City, opening in late 2025, is poised to become a thrill-seeker’s paradise, featuring 28 exhilarating rides, including the record-breaking Falcons’ Flight—the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in the world. Just next door, Aquarabia Water Theme Park will boast 22 cutting-edge water attractions, such as the world’s tallest water coaster and a double-loop water slide, setting a new benchmark in aquatic entertainment.
Beyond the rides, both parks aim to redefine family entertainment in the region. Aquarabia will introduce eight themed zones, including Surftopia, home to Saudi Arabia’s first surf pool, ensuring there’s something for everyone. These projects align with Saudi Vision 2030, an ambitious initiative designed to diversify the nation’s economy and position the Kingdom as a global tourism powerhouse. The parks are expected to generate thousands of jobs, fostering local talent and strengthening the attractions industry.
Abdullah Al Dawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the parks’ role in creating unforgettable experiences while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s economic and cultural development. Echoing this sentiment, Selim Bassoul, Executive Chairman of Six Flags, highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering top-tier attractions that captivate and inspire visitors. Under the leadership of Brian Machamer, President of Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia since 2019, these parks are set to become must-visit destinations, bringing unmatched entertainment to the region.
